With 3,427 foot-pounds of muzzle
energy, the new Model 1895M from Marlin Firearms delivers the most knock-down power of any
in the Guide Gun series. This rifle is chambered for the belted magnum .450 Marlin, a new
cartridge introduction by Hornady especially for this rifle.
The 1895M is ideal for the needs of
the big game hunter and guide. Compact, the lever-action rifle weighs only 7 pounds with
an overall length of just 37 inches, including the ported Ballard-type cut rifled barrel
that measures only 18 1/2 inches.
Other features include a four-shot
tubular magazine, hammer block safety, offset hammer spur for scope use that works right
or left and deeply blued metal surfaces. The receiver top is sandblasted to prevent glare
and tapped for scope mount or receiver sight. The front ramp sight has a brass bead and
Wide-Scan hood while an adjustable folding semi-buckhorn sight is mounted on the rear.
The straight-grip genuine American
black walnut stock has cut checkering and a tough Mar-Shield finish. Swivel studs are
included as is a ventilated recoil pad.
All Marlin firearms are shipped with
a safety lock for added protection during storage and transit.
