Hoppes Metal Target
Holder
I liked the name to begin
with. It said it was an all-metal target holder - simple as that. Hoppes new
convenience accessory is a target holder made of metal to retain paper targets or light
cans. Either is accomplished by means of clips, eight of them, to hold two, 14x14-inch
paper targets in place or, for that matter, targets of varying sizes, because of its wide
adjustability.
You have to put this unit together,
but I accomplished that in only a few minutes, which means anyone else can do it faster. A
foot bar works great in reasonable soil to force the base of the target into the ground.
The prongs, resembling a frog gig, dont have to penetrate very far to support the
unit. Its made of welded steel, so it isnt going to fall apart if it tips
over. Set up, the target holder stands about 40 inches off the ground, and, of course,
staples and stapler can be left at home. So can that roll of tape formerly used to tack a
target to a backer. Hoppes provides five paper targets to get started.
