Charles Daly showed its commitment to the handgun market at the SHOT Show by showcasing three new polymer framed high-capacity 1911-A1 pistols, the Charles Daly M-5 manufactured by BUL Transmark of Israel. Charles Daly is offering the Government, Commander and IPSC models as the Daly M-5 by BUL in .45 ACP and .40 S&W with hopes of adding the Ultra-X by year’s end.

“The inclusion of the Daly M-5 increases the prestige of our overall handgun line,” said Sean Cowan, Charles Daly sales manager. “We can now offer handgun enthusiasts a variety of choices in both steel or polymer frame 1911-A1, as well as our new 9mm pistol, the Daly HP.”

Enthusiasts familiar with the Israeli handgun manufacturer will find the new Daly M-5 has a rounded trigger guard, making it compatible with a wide range of holsters and accessories. Aficionados will also find a new stainless steel beaver-tail grip safety is an advance design that lowers the pistol deeper into your hand, reducing muzzle flip and lessening perceived recoil.

Competition shooters will be happy to see the Daly M-5 IPSC pistol designed specifically for the Limited division of IPSC. Out of the box, this pistol is competition ready and is fully outfitted with all the features, such as fully adjustable sights with high front posts, which are allowable under the Limited division rules of the International Practical Shooting Confederation.
