Simmons AETEC Binocular with
Aspherical Lens
Simmons
brought aspherical lens system technology to the sporting optics world with the
introduction of its AETEC riflescope, which has become one of the most popular scopes on
the market. Now, Simmons uses the same technology to produce a series of companion AETEC
binoculars with the important advantages of their riflescope counterparts.
The design of the aspherical system creates an
extra wide field of view. The angled dimensions of the lenses allow light to travel in a
flatter path, resulting in a brighter image even in low-light conditions such as dusk or
dawn. Because aspherical lenses eliminate minor aberrations found in regular spherical
lens systems, AETEC optics produce the sharpest, crispest view available.
All glass-to-air lens surfaces of the new
binoculars are fully coated to maximize brightness. Fashioned after the traditional
European glasses, AETEC binoculars are rubber covered to absorb tough knocks and are flat
black for versatility. A ribbed body allows a sure grip, even with gloves. Focusing is
easy with the large, ribbed center focus wheel that is conveniently placed for comfortable
use.
Three models of AETEC binoculars are being
offered: 7x35mm WA, 8x40mm WA and 10x50mm WA. Suggested retail prices are $96.95, $115.95
and $135.95, respectively.
Simmons offers a comprehensive line of
binoculars designed for a multitude of uses, as well as scopes and other sporting optics.
