The Mauser M2’s double-action-only, striker-fired operating system with its rotary barrel is engineered to meet modern shooters’ demands for safety and reliability as well as emphasizing ergonomic features and reduced recoil in an accurate, compact, powerful pistol.

Designed to operate with a half-cocked loading action that reduces tension on the striker system until the trigger is activated, the double-action M2 is inherently safe, featuring a series of safety systems including: an optional external manual safety, a firing pin safety that only releases the firing pin when the trigger is fully pulled, a disconnector that prevents out-of-battery firing and a loaded chamber indicator. After each shot the firing pin action automatically moves to a half-cocked position adding to the M2’s safe handling characteristics. Safety is also enhanced with a magazine disconnector that prevents firing unless the magazine is fully inserted.

Ergonomics are also a major feature of the Mauser M2 with special attention given to a total design focused on providing a comfortable grip to enhance rapid, precision target acquisition and firing for shooters with varying hand sizes. Distinctive contrast sights enhance accuracy and target acquisition, and the ambidextrous magazine release button adds functionality for right- and left-handed shooters.

The M2’s aluminum alloy frame and nickel chromium steel alloy slide are highly resistant to rust, corrosion and environmental elements. The enclosed hammerless, striker-fired design also prevents the penetration of dirt into the pistol, further ensuring operating reliability even under severe use conditions.
