Laser-Cast 40-1911
In response to requests from
dedicated Limited and IDPA shooters, the Oregon Trail Bullet Company asked pro competition
shooter Bruce Gray to develop a bullet specifically designed to solve reliability,
accuracy and pressure problems associated with various popular 1911-type .40-caliber
pistols.
Standard .40 S&W ammunition
often feeds marginally from the 10mm Norma-length magazines of these otherwise excellent
1911-based pistols, while Major power factor handloads lack adequate safety margins if
loaded to factory lengths with heavier bullets. Unlike all other blunt bullets intended
for 10mm and .40 S&W, the new long-ogive Laser-Cast 40-1911 was designed to be loaded
long for reduced pressure, exceptional accuracy and flawless feeding - yet chambers
without the need for performance-robbing freebore reaming.
The unique 40-1911's advanced design
takes maximum competitive advantage of the ultrahard Laser-Cast silver alloy with
unparalleled results: The new 40-1911, 185-grain roundnose SWC makes Major power factor
with significantly less powder than any other comparable cast, coated or jacketed bullet
tested, for the ultimate in controllable accuracy from a Limited pistol.
Special introductory price for the Laser-Cast
40-1911 is $55 per 1,000/case, shipping included. For the serious reloader, great volume
discounts are available. Oregon Trail makes
