The Gun Rest

The Gun Rest is a product designed to actually lighten the load and keep those arms and shoulders fresh during a day’s hunt. The Gun Rest fits on a hunter’s belt and provides a small shelf for the butt of the rifle or shotgun. Then the hunter simply holds the gun straight up with a relaxed arm. Arm and shoulder muscles are used only to balance the gun.

The beauty of The Gun Rest is that the gun is held in a nearly ready to shoot position. No time is lost getting a shot off compared to getting a rifle sling from the shoulder. The hunter holds the gun by the stock with the finger right by the trigger. When a target is in sight, simply raise the gun, aim and shoot.

The Gun Rest does not interfere with leg movement while walking nor does it stick out far enough to interfere with arm movements when not in use. The Gun Rest protrudes just far enough to hold the butt of the gun. The Gun Rest is above the legs so the gun doesn’t flop around while walking. The gun can then be held in a safe upright position.

The weight of a rifle or shotgun can really add up by the end of a day’s hunt. Slings do help, but your shoulders can get tired by day’s end. The Gun Rest offers the perfect alternative. It takes that weight and puts it on the legs and hips where the strongest muscles of the body are located. The Gun Rest sells for $12 plus shipping and handling.
