    Publisher's Letter

    To Our Loyal Readership,

We were saddened by the news that FMG will no longer be printing American Handgunner and Guns magazines. We feel this leaves a void in the firearms market, and we want to fill that void.

We are proud to announce the rebranding of Rifle magazine to Rifle & Handgun Magazine.

For over five decades, Rifle magazine has been a cornerstone of semi-technical, accurate and engaging firearms journalism. This rebrand reflects Wolfe Publishing’s commitment to honoring that legacy while expanding editorial horizons. With the recent shifts in the firearms media landscape and the growing need for authoritative coverage of handguns, Rifle & Handgun Magazine will broaden its scope to provide in-depth coverage across both rifle and handgun platforms.

In addition to the name change, we will introduce a new handgun column and add an additional feature to the magazine. The six features will be evenly split between handgun and rifle content.

As a family-owned company, Wolfe Publishing Company is uniquely positioned to adapt quickly to changing industry needs. While the rebrand may feel sudden, it is the result of months of careful planning and strategic foresight. The transition allows Wolfe Publishing to remain ahead of the curve while honoring its legacy of excellence in firearms journalism.

“This is more than just a name change. It’s an expansion of our vision. By bringing rifles and handguns together under one masthead, we aim to create the go-to resource for sportsmen, hunters, shooters and firearm enthusiasts who expect more than surface-level coverage.”

    – Jeremiah Polacek, Editor in Chief.

We would like to thank you for your continued support.

    Sincerely,

    Donald Polacek, Wolfe Publishing Co.
